It's been a while...

Hello to all you lovely humans that have stumbled across my page. I thought I would take some time to introduce myself for any new followers here and give a little life update for any of you that know me already.

I have been quietly working away on a qualification to become a Hypnobirthing Practitioner. Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated with birth, maternity and pregnancy. A little fact about me is I went to university after I left to school to become a midwife, however 20 years ago they shortened the spaces on the course meaning I could no longer take the straight route into Midwifery and instead had to go via Adult nursing first. This wasn't for me so that's when I headed straight back to the hair salon and have spent my time ever since.

Since becoming a coach I have gotten to know myself on a deeper level again, I have been learning who 'Lisa' is and remembering the woman beneath all the labels that had placed upon myself. Stepping out my comfort zone has been challenging but it has brought me back to my passion to help more women have positive experiences in life with confidence and conviction.

I think many of us can relate to losing ourselves at some point, this may happen when you become a parent, fall in or out of a relationship, navigate a difficult life event or just succumb to the rat race of work. The beauty in this though is you have the gift to change at any point. You get to take back control, you get to make new decisions, you get to say YES or NO to anything that is in alignment to your goals and values, you just need the courage to take that first step. You have an opportunity each day you waken to live the life you not only dream of but deserve.

As many of you know I love a journal prompt and I would go as far as saying journaling has probably been my most trusted tool in changing the direction of my life. If you don't journal or believe that it can help I am here to challenge that. Gratitude practices, Intention setting, Vision boards, Self reflection, Goal setting and so many more tools have helped me go from anxious and overthinking to calm, focused and confident. So much so I actually designed and created my own Journal 'A New Era'. I have it published and selling over on AMAZON! now if you had told me this 2years ago, I would have laughed and told you that my grammar is awful and I am not creative! This was just a BS story that I had told myself, yet another example of me pushing myself out my comfort zone.

The reason I am sharing this all is not to boast or gloat but to encourage you to do the same thing. I know it gets said a lot but life really is so short and if we don't take these opportunities to stretch ourselves then one day we will look back with regret of not doing something.

This is your reminder to push forward with any goals no matter how big or small. Worry less about the how and instead of focusing on the one thing you can do right now to making it happen. Maybe it is an email or text to someone, maybe it is filling out an application form, maybe it is signing up to that class. Get out of your own way and stop making excuses (this is all said with a lot of love).

So if something has been niggling you go do something about it. Reach out to someone for a conversation, ask for some advice or book in with a coach to help you achieve your goals.

No one is you and you are no one else so don't compare or chase someone else's dreams, go grab your own.

Lovely to be back, speak soon.

Lisa
