Beneath The Title

Why I no longer believe people need fixing.
For over twenty years, I have worked within a people centered role as a hairdresser, a salon owner, a coach, a mentor, a leader and so many more labels I could give myself. On the surface these roles may look very different however they have all taught me exactly the same thing.
Beneath every title is a human being.
The business owner carrying the pressure of keeping everything together. The parent wondering where they disappeared to. The leader who looks confident but feels overwhelmed. The professional questioning whether they are good enough. The person everyone turns to, yet rarely gets asked "How are you?"
Over the years I have realised that titles tell us very little about what someone is actually carrying.
People don't always need advice, they don't always need another strategy, another podcast or another productivity hack. More often than not, they need something much simpler and that is a safe space.
Someone who will listen without judgement, someone who won't rush to fix them, someone who will help them understand what's really going on beneath the surface. That has become the foundation of everything I do.
Why do I Coach?
People often assume coaching is about setting goals, becoming more productive or chasing success.
Those things can absolutely be part of the process but they are rarely where we begin.
We begin with you, we explore what feels heavy, look at what is keeping you stuck, what stories you have been carrying and what you've outgrown. Where your nervous system has been stuck in survival and together we create the clarity you need to move forward. This is not by becoming somebody new but by reconnecting with who you already are beneath the expectations, responsibilities and labels.
You Don't Need Fixing!
This is probably the biggest misconception I see. People come to coaching believing something is wrong with them, that they are lazy, broken, not resilient enough, not confident enough but what if nothing is wrong with you? What if you've simply spent too long carrying too much? What if you've adapted to stress for so long that you've forgotten what calm feels like? What if the version of you you are searching for has never actually disappeared? Sometimes we don't need fixing, we need permission to pause, to breathe, to be heard and to understand ourselves with a little more compassion.
Who Do I Work With?
I work with people navigating life's transitions, people experiencing burnout, people carrying invisible pressure, people rebuilding confidence, people questioning what's next. Business owners, parents, professionals, leaders, athletes, people whose title may be different but whose experiences are often remarkably similar. Stress doesn't discriminate neither does self-doubt and neither does overwhelm.
My Promise is...
When you work with me, I'll never pretend to have all the answers but what I can promise is this.
You will be listened to, you will be challenged when you need it, you will leave with greater clarity, you will understand yourself better and together we will create practical, sustainable changes that help you feel calmer, stronger and more like yourself again.
Beneath every title there is a person and that person deserves to be heard.
If you are reading this and something resonates, perhaps this is your reminder that you don't have to carry everything alone and I'd love to help.
